Livingston Skate Park Refurbishment
Local skaters and BMX enthusiasts are due to benefit from a £250,000 facelift to Livingston Skatepark.
West Lothian Council has recently awarded a contract, to Gravity Skateparks, to develop the facility which will include an upgrade to the existing skatepark as well as an extension to include further bowl and street features. Initial proposals include the installation of a full-pipe which would be the first of its kind in any skatepark in Europe.
Originally built in the early 1980s by the Livingston Development Corporation, Livingston Skatepark has long been recognised as one of the key facilities of its kind in Scotland and renowned throughout the UK and Europe. This investment underlines West Lothian Council?s intention to put Livingston Skatepark back on the map as one of the top skate and BMX facilities in the UK and Europe.
Please see the documents below for the plans of the extension and refurbishment project.
