Dance Classes
For adults with little or no experience in the following dance styles. Age:14+
10 week term £40.50 or £36.50 concession.
Generation Dance
This is a fun and relaxed creative movement and dance session suitable for men and women aged over 50 of all abilities. Take part seated or standing, be creative, improve general fitness and socialise. You can also join in tea dances and intergenerational projects throughout the year.
Mondays 22 April to 24 June, 11.30am - 12.30pm
Humba
This new fun, funky, cardio class moves to an African techno beat, with jazz technique and stretching included to tone and sculpt your body. Learn routines in Gumboot, Pantsula and Zulu warrior training styles! Humba means 'go' in Zulu - join the lively class that gives you Humba!
Tuesdays 23 April to 25 June 6.30 - 7.30pm

Yoga
Renew and rejuvenate your body and nervous system by learning gentle stretching and simple breathing techniques. These yoga postures will slowly improve flexibility and strength, balance the body and bring its response systems back into equilibrium.
Please bring a mat for this class.

Ballet
A soft, gentle and beautifully elegant style. For all those people who either did Ballet a long time ago or never had the chance to try it...now is your time!

Strictly Come Dancing - Level 1 (for complete beginners)
If you've enjoyed watching the stars from TV learn the waltz, cha cha, quick step and tango and think you would like a go...then this is your chance. This class will take you through the basics in a fun and relaxed manner.

Strictly Come Dancing - Level 2 (for those with some experience)
If you've already participated in a term of this class and you want to develop your skills further, then this class is for you! It will cover the same styles as the level 1 class but will provide slightly longer sequences and additional steps in a fun enjoyable manner.

Art Workshops & Talks
Introduction to Jewellery Making
Learn the basic principles of jewellery making, using, beads, clasps, fastenings and fixings to create colourful and unique articles.
Thursdays 16 May to 4 July (excluding 6 June), 6 - 8pm. Tickets: £65 or £62 concession
Introduction to Metal Jewellery Making
Learn the basic principles involved in manipulating precious metal to create jewellery. You will be taught the techniques involved in silversmithing using copper as the principle metal. Cut, burnish, polish and mould the metal into beautiful handcrafted jewellery.

Modern Languages Talk
Join the curator Katy West, as she discusses her approach to the exhibition, and how the works and accompanying film relate to a sense of identity. Katy is the Creative Programmer at The Lighthouse, Scotland?s Centre for Design and Architecture.

Summer Arts Activities For Children
Paint and Play
Use paper and art techniques to fashion your own paper theatre. Build the venue, craft the set and create your own cast of characters. Use your imagination to devise your very own play, and bring it to life with your hand painted actors and actresses.

Creative Crafts
Re-cycle old materials with new to create and design wonderful keepsakes and unique artworks. From Venetian masks to home decorations, express yourself, learn new skills and make new friends.
