Country Parks

Sports and outdoor pursuits can be found within our three Country Parks:

Whether you want to join in on one of the many organised activities by our friendly qualified Outdoor Pursuit Team or a leisurely stroll round the loch and deer farm at Beecraigs, there are activities for all ages and abilities.

Outdoor Education Service

West Lothian Council has its own dedicated outdoor education service based at Low Port Centre in Linlithgow.  The centre prodominatly provides outdoor activities and residential experiences to West Lothian Schools but can also be accessed by organised groups, members of the public and schools outwith West Lothian.

Throughout the year the centre runs a variety of adult outdoor training courses some of which lead to recognised National Governing Body Awards.  Every summer Low Port provides a hugely popular Summer Activity Programme for young people.

As well as being able to offer these activities the centre has a 38 bed residential wing available for schools and organised groups.  There are also a number of meeting rooms and a large games hall that are available for hire to community groups.
