Advocacy Services
Advocacy Service for Families with Children who have Additional Learning Needs
Schools offer support for learning to cater for a wide range of learning needs. Some children and young people have significant needs and require further support for learning. There are many reasons why children may need extra help with their education. Just a few examples may be:
- Problems at home
- A physical disability
- Having English as an additional language
West Lothian Council aims to empower parents and carers to make the right choices for their child's education. We want to enable all parents and carers to have their say and to feel secure that their interests are being represented and aim to support parents and carers through this process.
If you feel that you need help to access support for your child please contact either
