Childcare - residential and hospice care

West Lothian Council operates a number of accommodation units to provide residential care for young people who cannot remain at home.

These young people, aged between 12 and 18, are only placed in residential care following an assessment by a social worker and often only after a children's hearing decides that the child should be cared for by the council away from home.

Please use the link to the left to find out more about West Lothian Council's residential units.
