Consultation dates confirmed
West Lothian Council has released its timetable for the Policy Development and Scrutiny Panels (PDSPs), which are considering the officer-led proposals that were outlined in the 'Tough Choices' booklet.
Council Leader Peter Johnston commented: " We would like to thank the community groups and individuals who submitted comments - these will be considered during the debate.
" The closing date was 30 June, however given the difficult decisions that are being made we are willing to accept comments for specific services areas as outlined in the timetable, if they are received at least eight days prior to the date to date of the appropriate PDSP meeting."
9 July, Partnership and Resources PDSP, 8.30am. Services being considered: Property Management and Development, Construction Services, Area Services, Corporate Communications, and Quality and Performance.
27 July, Environment PDSP, 10am. Services being considered: Environmental Health, Neighbourhood Environment Teams (NETs) and Land Services, and Trading Standards.
5 August, Development and Transport PDSP, 8.30am. Services being considered: Planning and Economic Development
9 August, Health and Care PDSP, 2pm. Services being considered: Health and Care Services
10 August, Development and Transport PDSP, 8.30am. Services being considered: Public Transport and Transportation
10 August, Services for the Community PDSP, 2pm. Services being considered: Homelessness and Community Safety
12 August, Social Policy PDSP, 2pm. Services being considered: Adult Services, Charging Policies, and the Advice Shop
12 August, Voluntary Organisations PDSP, 4pm. Services being considered: Support for voluntary organizations
20 August, Partnership and Resources PDSP, 8.30am. Services being considered: Community Planning and Locality Planning, Human Resources, Legal Services, and Information Technology (IT)
23 August, Education PDSP, 10am. Services being considered: Pre-school Sector and central Education
24 August, Education PDSP, 10am. Services being considered: Primary and Secondary Sectors
24 August, Environment PDSP, 10am. Services being considered: Roads, Fleet and Community Transport, Facilities Management, and Support
26 August, Culture and Leisure PDSP, 10.30am. Services being considered: Arts, Community Learning and Development, Community Facilities

3 September, Partnership and Resources, 8.30am. Services being considered: Chief Executive, Financial Management, Revenues and Benefits, Procurement, Risk and Insurance, and Internal Audit.
