Free festive bus timetable available

A free timetable of festive bus services in West Lothian is now available.

West Lothian Council has created the useful timetable, providing full details of all buses running over the festive period, which is available from all West Lothian Council Information Service (CIS) offices, libraries and West Lothian Connected in Livingston.

The council is one of the few local authorities who provide financial support for bus companies to run 365 days a year, and all the services on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, and 2 January are funded by the local authority.

Councillor Martyn Day, Executive member for Transport, said: " West Lothian Council is delighted to continue to provide public transport services over the Christmas and New Year period.

" It allows friends and relatives to keep in touch and essential workers to get to their places of employment."

Timetables can be downloaded from the Transport section of the website, and further information is available from Traveline Scotland on 0871 200 22 33 or the West Lothian Travel Helpline on 01506 775 288.
