Almondbank Library, Craigshill, Livingston
Almondbank Library offers a wide range of library and information services to people of all ages living or working in West Lothian. A comprehensive selection of fiction, non-fiction and children's books is available in a variety of formats, including talking books, and adult large print. DVDs are also available for hire, including the latest releases and music CDs may be requested to hire. There are also 6 PCs available for free public use to access the Internet, email or MS Office packages.
Customer Information Services (CIS) have integrated with our colleagues in Library Services, so we now have trained CIS staff who can deal with all your Council enquries.
If you have queries regarding : benefit advice, bin calendars, Blue Badges, bulky uplifts, concessionary travel, council tax, housing applications and much more, please ask at the reception desk or phone 01506 283133. We are unable to accept payments.
Access2Employment is also available in Almondbank Library, continuing support tailored around the individual so that they are equipped with employability skills that meet the needs of employers, recognising that one size does not fit all. Advisers help people to develop confidence or advise on preparing CVs, provide interview guidance, assist with the completion of application forms and provide overall employability support.
New interview rooms mean quiet, confidential consulting areas are now available. Access2Employment also deals with people who are under threat of redundancy to help them move into a new job as quickly as possible. For more information Freephone 0800 032 9768.
AJ's Sandwich and Coffee Shop is now open in Almondbank Centre, serving a selection of snacks, hot and cold food, home baking and drinks. Open Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 1pm.
