Misleading advertisements
The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) works to keep advertising legal, decent, honest and truthful. The ASA judges advertisements, direct marketing, and sales promotion against a set of codes.
You can complain to the ASA if you:
- Think there is something wrong with an advertisement you have seen or heard
- Have difficulty getting goods or a refund bought by mail order or through television shopping channels
- Want to stop direct mail from companies sent either by post, fax, text message, or email.
On the ASA website there are online complaints forms you can fill in. You can also check with the ASA to see if they are the right people to complain to.
