Careers advice
West Lothian Council has a number of full and part-time jobs available now.
More advice and information is also available if you are not sure about the type of work that would suit you. Access2employment employment advisers provide help with a range of employability services, training and childcare.
New booklets available from 1 October 2012: West Lothian Council is launching a new service for local jobseekers which combines information booklets with practical help. The service has been developed by the council?s Access2employment team in partnership with colleagues in Library Services.
The three self-service booklets are a great resource for people who are looking for a job and cover the various aspects of looking and applying for work. The booklets, will be available from libraries and provide advice on writing to employers; interview techniques and how to approach a job search. Customers will be asked to complete a form so that an access2employment adviser can contact them to offer additional help if they need it. For more information and to have the booklets emailed to you call 0800 0329768 (freephone) or email access2employment@westlothian.gov.uk
