Access2employment works in partnership with several organisations including Jobcentre Plus, Skills Development Scotland and the Voluntary Sector to ensure that West Lothian residents receive the help required to move them out of unemployment and into work.
Access2employment offers a wide range of services including:
- Guidance on CV preparation
- Help with application forms
- Interview techniques advice
- Access to the latest vacancies and job search resources
- Advice on local training opportunities
- Free access to computers
- Information on funding to help you move into work

STEPS N2 WORK
Access2employment delivers West Lothian Council's Steps N2 Work programme which aims to create 350 additional opportunities for young people aged 16 - 24 over two years.
In total the programme will create:
- 250 wage subsidy places
- 90 West Lothian Jobs fund opportunities
- 40 additional Modern Apprenticeships
The first of the three elements, the wage subsidy programme, was launched on the 1st December 2011. The programme will create 250 places for young people within West Lothian Businesses currently employing less than 50 staff.
