Councillor Jim DicksonCouncillor Dickson (SNP) is the Chairperson of the Development Control Committee and the Local Area Committee. He is also a member of the Appeals Committee, Licensing Committee, West Lothian Leisure Advisory Committee, Development and Transport Policy Development and Scrutiny Panel and the Voluntary Organisations Policy Development and Scrutiny Panel.

His appointments with outside bodies include the Workplace West Advisory Board, Community Planning Community Safety Forum, Community Planning Partnership Board, Oakbank Limited, Oakbank North Limited, Scottish Enterprise Edinburgh and Lothian, West Lothian Enterprise Ltd, Coalfield Communities Campaign and the Whitburn Fairtrade Steering Group.
