Councillor John MuirCouncillor Muir (SNP) is a member of the Licensing Committee, Appeals Committee, Local Area Committee, Social Policy Development and Scrutiny Panel and Services for the Community policy Development and Scrutiny panel.

His council appointments to outside bodies include the Cosla's Executive Group- Personnel Resources, Lanthorn Community Complex Trust  Board of Management, Livingston Youth Trust, West Lothian Educational trust, Dedridge Good Neighbourhood Network, Scottish Accident Prevention Council, Scottish Prison Service - Prison Visiting Committee and Lothian and Borders Community Justice Authority.
