Bathgate

Ward 8a - Bathgate

The Bathgate ward consists of Bathgate and Boghall.

Locality Planning is being developed across West Lothian within each multi-member ward.  This process involves partner agencies from the public, private and voluntary sectors working together with communities to jointly plan local services.  Locality Planning has a particular focus on addressing the key priorities within a local area.

A Local Area Committee has been established in Bathgate.  This is a forum where local issues can be discussed between local elected members, local officers and the wider community, playing a key role in Locality Planning.  Bathgate's Local Area (LAC) committee members are Jim Walker, Willie Boyle and John McGinty.

A Locality Plan for Bathgate is being developed which will detail those key priorities specific to this area and the ways in which organisations will work together, with the community to tackle these issues.

Contacts:  Locality planning lead officer, Ian Quigley and community regeneration officer, Jim Saunders.
