Councillor John CochraneCouncillor Cochrane (Action to Save St John's Hospital) is Chair Person of the Licensing Committee and a member of the Community Health and Care Partnership Committee, West Lothian Leisure Advisory Committee, Education Executive Committee,  Local Area Committee, Policy Resources and Scrutiny Panel, Environment Policy Development and Scrutiny Panel and the Health and Care Policy Development and Scrutiny Panel.

His appointments with outside bodies include the Lanthorn Community Complex Trust - Board of Management, West Lothian Access Committee, West Lothian Chamber of Commerce (Board), West Lothian leisure Ltd - Committee of Management, Almond Valley Heritage trust, Disability West Lothian and the National Society for Clean Air and Environmental Protection.
