Councillor Greg McCarraCouncillor McCarra (SNP) is the Chairperson for the Local area and is a member of the Appeals Committee, Performance Committee, Development Control Committee, Development and Transport Policy Development and Scrutiny Panel, Education Policy Development and Scrutiny Panel, Joint Consultative Group and the Joint Consultative Group (Teaching Staff).

His appointments with outside bodies include Levenseat Trust, Regional Transport Partnership Board, West Lothian Youth Action Project, National Society for Clean Air and Environmental Protection, Vocational Training and Worker's Educational Association.
