COMMISSIONING SERVICES
West Lothian Council commissions a wide range of voluntary organisations to provide specific social and community-based services that support individuals and communities most in need. These services are mainly delivered throughout West Lothian in partnership with voluntary organisations and have a clear focus on the achievement of positive outcomes for service users.
EXTERNAL FUNDING ADVICE & GUIDANCE
The Council also sources and manages a variety of external funding, advice and guidance.

WEST LOTHIAN ACCESS FUND
The West Lothian Access Fund is administered by West Lothian Council and supported by Disability West Lothian. The fund is available to charitable and voluntary organisations who wish to improve access to and use of facilities for disabled people at premises in public use. It is not available to private individuals or to commercial businesses.
Premises providing charitable and voluntary services to the public within West Lothian are eligible, except those owned and maintained by West Lothian Council. Premises used for business purposes are not eligible.
Organisations may receive up to 75% of the cost of adaptations, to a maximum of £1,000 inclusive of VAT.

COMMUNITY ARTS GRANTS
Individuals, community groups and organisations involved in developing or promoting the arts in West Lothian can apply directly to West Lothian Council Community Arts for an arts grant.
Individuals can apply for a grant to develop their skills, e.g. by attending an arts based course or workshop. The grant can be used to meet up to 50% of the course/workshop fee (max £600).
Organisations can apply for grants to help with a range of activities from: Starting Up (max £200), through Buying of Equipment (up to 50% of costs, max £1000), Professional Fees (up to 75% , max £300) or Projects (up to 50%, max £2000).
Applications can be submitted at any time in the year and Arts Officers are available for advice on areas such as elegibility and to help with filling in the form.
