Youth Zone - What's on
There's loads of stuff to do in West Lothian. There are clubs, events, activities Whether you're looking for a show or film, wanting to join a club, play sport, get out and about, West Lothian has something for everybody. Lots are free or at very reasonable cost. Please note that West Lothian Council doesn't not operate all of the events that appear on this page and cannot accept responsibility for any complaints that may arise.

Peel Primary School Summer Fete, Saturday 26th May, 10.00am to 13.00pm. We will have go karts, face painting, nail art, tattoos, strawberries and cream tons of fun and activities for the kids. Everyone welcome.
Carmondean Primary School summer fair, Sunday 3rd June, 11.00am to 2.00pm. Ticket includes a strawberry tea. There will be go-karts, obstacle courses, bouncy castles, face painting, competitions, raffles and lots more fun. Everyone welcome.
Boomwhacker Bang - Along Day: Saturday 9 June, Deans Community High School, 2pm to 4pm, Free. An exciting and fun filled workshop using 'Boomwhackers' which are diatonically or chromatically tuned brightly coloured plastic tubes. Open to children in West Lothian who are in P4 to S2, all existing percussion pupils and percussion staff as a CPD opportunity. No musical experience is necessary. Participants will work together to create an overall performance piece that will be performed to parents and carers at 3.45pm. Olympic Torch Relay visit Wednesday 13 June, East Main Street, Broxburn. The town is holding a street party from 3.45pm to welcome the Olympic Flame. Lots of free activities and fun for the family.

Low Port Outdoor Sports Centres (new window) - for the more adventurous - sailing; kayaking; climbing; cyclying; archery - with local pick-up points. The summer holiday programme is available now.
Five Sisters Zoo, near West Calder: Visitors can get close and handle a range of exotic creatures, including meerkats, pythons and tarantulas. Visit the zoo?s large soft play area and explore the new outdoor castle and pirate ship. And meet the rescue bears. Open 7 Days a week April to September: 10am to 6pm. If you're shopping in Livingston and fancy a break then why not catch a film at the Vue Cinema (new window) . If going to the cinema isn't your thing, but theatre is then you could go and see a play, a musical or take part in the many activities that are held at Howden Park Centre, Linlithgow Burgh Halls and The Regal (new window) . If you're really in the mood for culture and a wee bit of history then you could go back in time and discover West Lothian's heritage at Bennie Museum (new window) or Almond Valley Heritage Centre (new window) .
Feeling slightly more active? How about joining a regular exercise group, playing football, going to the gym, swimming, cycling or any other sport you fancy. Check out the links on the right for info on some of the sports/groups you can do in West Lothian.

Country parks: There are acres of country parks are available to explore free of charge - Beecraigs and Polkemmet also have adventure playgrounds.
