Handling Sessions for Schools NB this service is now FREE to West Lothian schools
We bring real museum objects into the classroom for pupils to see, touch (with gloves) and smell. Based on our local collections, we offer a variety of handling sessions in Primary Schools on:
- Victorians
- 1930s House
- Toys and Games
- World War 2
- Geology of West Lothian
- Local Study (tailored to suit your community)

Reminiscence Box Loan Service
We have boxes on ten topics to enhance reminiscence work with the elderly in our community. The objects within them can also be used to stimulate young people to explore their culture and heritage and can offer inspiration for creative work to writers and artists. The ten boxes are:
