Community Facilities
The Community Facilities Service is part of Area Services.
Community Facilities are buildings located in a number of localised areas. They are available to provide local communities with a resource to promote educational, social and leisure type activities. There are 27 Centres and 14 other facilities and village halls employing a staff of 53 full time equivalent, the centres being managed by Centre Co-ordinators and supported by Centre Caretakers.
The Community Facilities Service works in partnership with local Management Committees, Library Services, Arts Services, Community Learning & Development and Sport and Outdoor Education Services to provide a variety of activities suitable for everyone.
