Community Facilities
The Community Facility Service came into effect on 16 October 2006 and manages a range of community facilities across West Lothian.
Community Facilities are buildings located in a number of localised areas. They are available to provide local communities with a resource to promote educational, social and leisure type activities. There are 28 Centres and 11 Village Halls employing a staff of 69, the centres being managed by Centre Co-ordinators.
The Community Facilities Service works in partnership with Community Education Associations, Library Services, Sport and Leisure Services, Arts & Cultural Services, Community Learning & Development and Outdoor Education Services.
The Service achieved Charter Mark in 2007.
