Community Facilities
The Community Facility Service is part of Area Services.
Community Facilities are buildings located in a number of localised areas. They are available to provide local communities with a resource to promote educational, social and leisure type activities. There are 31 Centres and 13 Village Halls employing a staff of 69, the centres being managed by Centre Co-ordinators.
The Community Facilities Service works in partnership with Community Education Associations, Library Services, Arts & Cultural Services, Community Learning & Development and Sport and Outdoor Education Services to provide a variety of activities suitable for everyone.
