Adult Learning Opportunities
The Working with Adults and Communities team of Community Learning and Development offer a range of learning opportunities for adults based in local community centres across West Lothian.
Computing is available in 10 learning suites across the county.
A wide range of adult learning opportunities are provided on a regular basis covering a range of topics such as health and well being, computers and IT technology, confidence building, parenting, childcare, photography, preparing for employment as well as a work club. Many of the courses offered are SQA certificated modules. There is a booklet available 'Get into Learning' covering the courses which will be offered from January - March 2012.
A Voluntary Organisations and Childcare calendar is produced twice a year which offers lots of courses at no cost to parents, volunteers and workers involved in toddler groups, playgroups, crèches, children's groups, after school care clubs, youth clubs, childminders, private nurseries, community education associations, voluntary organisation management committees and neighbourhood networks.
