Buying your Home

There's no doubt that the housing market in West Lothian is booming!

Last year, the number of house sales in West Lothian grew by 40 per cent, and the average price of a property rose by a total of eight percent.

Around 1,000 new homes a year are now being built in West Lothian, ranging from two bedroom starter homes to luxury mansions.

This new housing compliments the mix of existing property, which includes a large number of older-style private houses, former council homes, rural retreats and historic properties.

The market tends to be at its liveliest in major settlements such as Livingston, Bathgate, Broxburn and Linlithgow, but there are also plenty of properties to be found in quieter towns and villages.
