Homeless People Housing Advice

 

West Lothian Council has a strategic duty to house homeless applicants. The council also has a duty to provide advice and assistance to those threatened with homelessness.


The Councils aims are as follows

  •  To reduce the overall levels of homelessness in the district
  •  To reduce the incidence of repeat homelessness in West Lothian
  •  To prevent homelessness in West Lothian
  •  To ensure that accommodation and support services are delivered within a partnership framework
  •  To minimise the damage homelessness causes to families, communities and neighbourhoods
