Capital Credit Union's new local office in Bathgate

Capital Credit Union, in partnership with West Lothian Council, has opened a new office in Bathgate bringing a wide range of products and services closer to West Lothian residents.

Credit Union membership is available to all in West Lothian, and with a local office now opening in Bathgate, people will have quicker and easier access to our wide range of products and services such as:

Background:
Established in 1989 Capital Credit Union is a mutual, not for profit financial services provider allowing people who live or work in Edinburgh, the Lothian's and Scottish Borders access to a wide range of convenient financial services. 

Capital Credit Union, Scotland's third largest Credit Union, currently offers convenient savings accounts, accessible low cost borrowing, a wide range of competitive insurance products and access to ethical banking services to over 15,000 members, with around 5,000 of these being West Lothian residents.  

In partnership with the West Lothian Council Advice Shop and other local community initiatives, Capital Credit Union has successfully provided ethical and affordable financial services to residents of West Lothian over the past 18 months. 

Recent activities have seen in excess of £170,000 paid out in loans to financially excluded households in West Lothian, saving these residents approximately £120,000 in interest payments.

The Bathgate office provides 5,000 West Lothian members and other residents who want to join with easily accessible and ethical financial services.
