| Your Council Tax bill includes a charge for water and waste water services. By law, we must send you a bill for, and collect, these charges on behalf of Scottish Water. Scottish Water is responsible for setting these charges, please phone Scottish Water on 0845 601 8855. There is a reduction scheme to help some people on low incomes pay their water and waste water charges. The reduction (up to 25%) helps households with two or more adults, who receive Council Tax Benefit and do not receive a Council Tax discount. The reduction will apply automatically and will be shown in your bill. You do not need to apply for the reduction. Remember: your instalments start from April each year. |
