Instrumental tuition
Pupils in West Lothian schools are eligible for free instrumental music lessons. The Instrumental Music Service (part of Arts Services) manages a team of instrumental music teachers working in primary and secondary schools.
As well as individual practice, pupils receiving instrumental music tuition are expected to rehearse regulaly after school so that they are ready to perform in one of the many bands, orchestras and ensembles. These include the West Lothian Schools Brass Band, West Lothian Schools Percussion Ensemble and West Lothian Schools Orchestra.
