Public and community transport

Most bus services are provided by local bus companies and operate without council subsidy. About 20% of bus services are provided by bus companies under contract to the council.

Public Transport information is available from the Council's Information Service (CIS) offices and bus and train operators. Alternatively follow the link to Traveline and Transport Direct on the right of this page.

Printed timetables for council contract services are available from CIS offices. A map and guide will be published in spring 2009.
