TAKE A STEP TO HEALTHIER LIVING WITH WEST LOTHIAN WALKING WEEK

West Lothian will hold it's second Walking Week from the 21-27th September.

Just 30 minutes walking a day can make a dramatic difference to your health and wellbeing - and what better way to get out and about than by enjoying beautiful scenery and sharing the experience with a like-minded group of people.

Whether you are an experienced walker or a total beginner, West Lothian Walking Week offers you the chance to explore beautiful landscape, learn about the area's history, make new friends and take some important strides towards improving your health.

Best of all, the guided walks and activities are absolutely free! Walks cover a range of times throughout the day, so simply choose your walk and go.

The week has been arranged by both local and national organisations in partnership with West Lothian on the Move, aimed to encourage inactive people to participate in moderate intensity activities in order to improve their health and wellbeing.

Jen Johnston, West Lothian on the Move Physical Activity Co-ordinator is encouraging residents of all ages to join in: "The West Lothian Walking Week is a great way to be active, feel good and enjoy the outdoors!".

To receive a programme or book a place contact Susan Scott on 01506 775626 or email susan.scott@westlothian.gov.uk (Booking is advisable).
