Roads and Pavements - Road Signs

A704 - A706 Junction Sign

Provision of Road Signs

Road Signs and markings are provided by the Council for road safety and information for road users.  All signs must comply with national regulations and guidance. Some signs need to be illuminated and new signs need to be carefully positioned so as to avoid danger to road users whilst still providing the appropriate level of information.

The provision of new signs and markings is dealt with by the Road Safety and Traffic Management Team within Transportation Services.

All requests for new signs should be directed to the Customer Service Centre.

Maintenance of road signs

Maintenance of existing road signs is dealt with by Lighting Services.
