Road works - Closures and Diversions
We are committed to maintaining West Lothian's roads to the highest possible standard. Its is our aim to limit the inconvenience to road users during maintenance works however, from time to time, we need to close roads or divert the traffic.
As part of our ongoing partnership with the Scottish Government and other Local Authorities we now post all information regarding road works, closures and diversions in West Lothian on the Scottish Road Works Register which can be found online using the following link:
Road Works Scotland Simply click on the Location Search and enter the street name or town to find out information on the Road Works happening in that area.
Where a road is closed or traffic needs to be diverted we will give as much notice as possible through local media, this website and by displaying noticeboards on the affected roads in the lead up to the work.
