Environmental Health - Licences
Environmental Health carry out a number of duties with regard to all premises which require to have a licence under the various Acts which relate to:
- Animal Boarding (kennels / catteries) (new window)
- Dog Breeding (new window)
- Pet Shops (new window)
- Dangerous Wild Animals (new window)
- Riding Establishments (new window)
- Zoos (new window)
- Home Boarding (new window)
- Dog Day Care
- Performing Animals (new window)
- Houses in multiple occupation (HMOs)
- Caravan Sites
The Environmental Health team will: monitor and control the operation of all premises in which animals are boarded, sold or kept; identify and regulate all houses in multiple occupation; monitor and control conditions in premises which require to have a licence under the various Acts and liaise with other Council service units regarding these licences; monitor and control conditions in caravan sites and in all these cases to ensure a good level of compliance with the relevant laws.
