As part of the planning process for the new park we consulted with a number of local children to ask them for their ideas on how the new park should look and what equipment should be included.

We would like to extend our thanks to everyone who took the time to complete our online survey regarding the new Play Area at Polkemmet Country Park.

The policy of improving play areas in West Lothian has been proceeding for a number of years. Opportunities to participate in play activities are essential to the healthy mental, physical, social and emotional development of children. The main objectives are to ensure that children have accessible, safer, inclusive fun and stimulating play environments.
