Commercial waste - special trade collections

 

West Lothian Council runs a service to collect commercial articles that are too large to be placed in your wheeled bin for all commercial properties within West Lothian. 

The commercial bulky uplift service costs £74.52 an hour (subject to a quote on inspection)

How do I request a bulky uplift and make payment?

If you have a credit or debit card simply contact us on (01506) 775000, a member of staff will take your details, process the payment and arrange the uplift. Alternatively you can pay by cash or cheque at any of the council information offices and an adviser there will take the details of your uplift. They will need your telephone number in case the Waste Services staff need to get in touch with you to notify you of any change to the uplift date. Make sure you tell us about everything you want taken - we can't uplift things that are not on our list. Please ensure that you give clear instructions on where the item/s to be uplifted will be left.

How much does it cost for a commerial bulky uplift service?

The cost is set at £74.52 per hour (subject to a quote on inspection), it rarely takes longer than one hour to carry out this procedure.

Will the Council accept animal bones or animal by-products in commercial waste?

No. To dispose of animal bones or other animal by-products, commercial premises must go to an approved rendering or incineration plant.
