Skips Permits

 

If you wish to hire a skip then you must obtain a permit from the Roads Maintenance Department within the Council.

Skip Hire Permits are currently charged at 16 pounds. A skip permit can only be issued to the skip company.

The preferred method for obtaining a skip permit is via email. Please contact us directly via roadworks@westlothian.gov.uk for your skip permit. We will then issue you with an invoice.

If unable to email, permits can also be collected by the skip company at Roads Maintenance, Guildyhaugh Depot, Blackburn Road, Bathgate, EH48 2EB

How much does it cost to obtain a skip permit?

Skip permit charges fall into separate categories - traffic sensitive, and non-traffic sensitive. Skip permit costs are also based on the length of time that you require a skip.
